# Connectivity Intelligence

Axidra brings deep industry experience and purpose-built analytical tools to connectivity challenges across Australia. Our platform, Axidra Cloud, lets us model wireless environments with precision, from a single building to thousands of sites, and that analysis forms the foundation of every consulting engagement. We work as a partner alongside your team, whether that's a one-off study or an ongoing relationship.

The same digital twin and propagation engine that powers our building coverage work can be applied to broader analytical challenges. These services are for organisations that need connectivity understanding at scale, across large numbers of locations, along transport routes, or across entire urban precincts.

## In-Building Coverage

### New Construction Analysis

The most cost-effective time to address mobile coverage is during the design phase, before construction begins. The materials that make modern buildings energy-efficient are often the same materials that block mobile signal. If coverage isn't considered early, the problem surfaces only after handover, when fixing it means retrofitting through a finished building at significantly greater cost.

Our New Construction Analysis models your planned building in full 3D within Axidra Cloud. We assign materials to each wall, floor, and window based on your architectural specifications, and run a propagation simulation that predicts coverage floor by floor, room by room based on the surrounding mobile networks. The result is a clear picture of where signal will be strong, marginal, or absent, and what needs to be factored into the build programme.

If you'd like to start with a free preliminary assessment, our Building Estimator tool lets you model a planned building online and run a coverage simulation yourself. [Read more](/node/27) about how it works.

### In-Person Site Visits

Our team can mobilise to any location in Australia and surrounding regions to conduct a physical site assessment. This is for situations where desktop analysis alone isn't enough and you need someone on the ground to study construction materials first-hand, understand complex 3D layouts, take signal measurements, or validate a proposed design against the real environment.

Site visits can include proof-of-concept studies, pre-installation walk-tests, and preparation of signal analysis documentation for tender processes. Whether it's a single building or a portfolio of facilities, we scope the visit to what the project actually requires.

### Bulk Point Analysis

For companies, government departments, and analysts who need connectivity assessed across a large number of locations, from hundreds to millions of points. For each location we solve for receiver installation parameters including required height, optimal azimuth and tilt (including non-line-of-sight raytraced azimuths), predicted signal strength, and the best available network and technology across Telstra, Optus, and Vodafone (TPG), on 4G, 5G, and LEO satellite networks such as Starlink, Amazon, and AST SpaceMobile.

This extends to bulk planning of Starlink and other satellite deployments, solving for minimum installation height for obstruction clearance, predicted obstruction percentage, and optimal dish tilt at each location.

### Bulk Building & CBD Analysis

Beyond predicting coverage within a single building, we can analyse entire city blocks and CBD precincts. High-resolution building data allows us to model outdoor-to-indoor coverage across hundreds of buildings simultaneously, identifying which structures are well-served by existing networks and which are likely to have coverage gaps.

Applications include local government planning, network rollout prioritisation, and disaster management and emergency communications planning where understanding connectivity across an urban area is critical to operational decisions.

### High Fidelity Building Analysis

Our raytracing engine supports a variety of 3D formats, allowing us to draw or import your building in detail, assign specific materials to every surface, place transmitters, and analyse signal propagation down to centimetre resolution. This is the highest level of modelling precision we offer, suited to complex industrial facilities, critical infrastructure, and buildings where precise coverage boundaries affect safety or operational systems.

### Flight Path & Route Analysis

We perform statistical coverage analysis along any given route, whether by land, sea, or air. Given a path, we solve for connectivity to a specified network: public MNO coverage, a Private 5G network, mesh WiFi, or a drone-specific communications link.

For BVLOS drone operations, we analyse planned flight paths against ground-based networks and identify segments where connectivity may be lost or degraded. For transport corridors, we map coverage continuity and identify blackspots that affect vehicle communications or passenger connectivity.

### Network Design

For organisations building their own wireless networks, our digital twin allows us to place transmitters, simulate coverage, and optimise layouts using terrain, building, and canopy awareness. This covers point-to-multipoint network planning, mesh topology simulation, and auto-planning tools that solve for optimal coverage across complex environments.

We can also model non-line-of-sight link scenarios, including passive microwave repeaters and rapid deployment configurations that use CBD buildings as signal reflectors. These are solutions that require detailed understanding of the propagation environment to design with confidence.

### ACMA Coverage Modelling

Supporting frequencies from 30 MHz to 100 GHz, we can rapidly simulate the majority of transmitters registered in the ACMA RRL. For quick one-click analyses through Axidra Cloud (or Connectivity Intelligence API) we can use our proprietary ACMA pattern synthesis to estimate a full 3D radiation pattern for any transmitter in the database, or upload and assign a custom pattern supplied by the manufacturer. Individual parameters such as azimuth, tilt, power, height, can be overridden to perform investigatory and what-if scenario analysis.

One-click analyses use our nation-wide digital twin, or provide us your site-specific LIDAR/building/vegetation models to simulate an up-to-date or planned environment.
