# Free tools that make sense of the data

We spend our days analysing Australia's landscape and the networks that cover it: the terrain, the buildings, the towers, and the signal that travels between them. Along the way we build small tools that help make sense of complicated topics like wireless connectivity, and we publish the useful ones here, free for anyone.

### Mobile Coverage Checker

Type in an address or click the map to see whether Telstra, Optus and Vodafone report 4G and 5G coverage there, and whether you'd need an external antenna.

### Coverage Statistics Explorer

How much of each state, electorate or suburb do the networks claim to cover? Population, land area, roads, emergency services and farmland, cross-referenced with ABS, AEC and other government datasets.

### 4G-5G Speed Test Explorer

Coverage maps say yes or no. Speed tests tell you what it's actually like. Download, upload and latency for your area, from Ookla's Open Data.
