The smallest possible system typically comprises a rooftop antenna, repeater, and a small indoor antenna that fits directly onto the repeater. This size system is ideal for a back-office, house, demountable/donga, and covers up to about a 20-30 metre radius in these sorts of environments. Even this small-styled system can be extended by simply removing the antenna and replacing with a set of distributed antennas, ideal for scenarios where coverage needs to be expanded to nearby demountable offices, or extended from a back-office area to front-of-house. These sorts of systems can be grown to cover even two or three level buildings.
For medium-to-large sized buildings and for maximum flexibility we recommend a UBC system. These are the more modern systems that use a centralised Access Unit which connects to multiple Coverage Nodes placed strategically throughout the building. When you need to expand, we either add more antennas to a Coverage Node, or for big upgrades we add more Nodes.
It is very common for a client to improve coverage across one or two floors (priority areas), and then ask to expand to a few more floors in a following budget period.
