Where the numbers come from.
Our tools are built from published datasets, such as the ACCC's Mobile Infrastructure Report, the carriers' own coverage maps, and Ookla Open Data. We refresh them as new releases come out, and each tool shows the date of the data behind it.
Coverage maps are each carrier's own modelling, so treat them as a guide rather than a guarantee, and expect signal indoors to be weaker than the maps suggest.
