How Axidra Helps
Axidra provides two pathways depending on your situation. For sites needing new connectivity infrastructure, we design and deploy Private 5G networks, enhanced public mobile coverage, or in-building systems tailored to transport environments. For sites with existing wireless infrastructure, our BYON (Bring Your Own Network) service brings your network into Axidra Cloud for RF prediction modelling and live monitoring.
Both pathways use the same underlying platform. Axidra Cloud maintains a digital twin of your site that can ingest live data via API, whether that's container positions from your terminal operating system, vehicle locations, or planned yard configurations. This allows coverage modelling to reflect actual conditions rather than a snapshot from months ago. Upload a proposed layout change and see the predicted coverage impact before equipment moves.
The Challenge with Dynamic Environments
Most connectivity systems are designed for static environments. An RF engineer visits the site, models the space as it exists that day, and designs a solution to match. This works well for office buildings and warehouses where walls don't move, but transport and logistics environments are different. Container yards reconfigure as vessels arrive and depart. Rail maintenance depots shuffle rolling stock between bays. Airport aprons see constant movement of ground support equipment, fuel tankers, and cargo loaders.
Metal structures are particularly problematic for wireless signals. A shipping container blocks around 40 dB of signal, steel-framed buildings and equipment create reflections that interfere with direct paths. When these obstructions move, the coverage pattern changes with them. A wireless system designed for Monday's yard layout may have gaps by Wednesday.
